The 2017 vintage started late due to a wet spring in 2016. This extra rain, mixed with a mild summer meant that the grapes had a much easier start to the season than we have had in previous years. Due to the cooler weather though, it did mean vintage started a couple weeks later than average.
The cooler weather has helped increase the quality in our 2017 wines, bringing more intense flavours and aromas due to the slower ripening.
Both our red’s and white’s are looking amazing, so keep an eye out for the new vintages later this year.
The 2016 vintage started early after a dry warm summer. With little summer rains it means that we have had a disease free season and perfect ripening conditions, but it has also meant that vintage started, and finished, earlier than usual.
Our whites this year are looking stunning. Crisp and full of flavour, the whites for 2016 and looking to be standout wines that will fill the pallet with immense flavours.
The reds are showing rich dark colours thanks to the ideal ripening period. Great tannin structure and flavor is on show early and all signs are for some fantastic reds.
Thanks to favourable weather conditions vintage 2015 wines are of a high standard. The weather resulted in little to no disease pressure during the growing season. Vintage 2015 was as with the 2014 vintage on average two weeks earlier than normal.
The white wines are showing crisp acid backbones and delicate flavours.
The red wines are intensely coloured and flavoured. The favourable weather conditions have resulted in good cropping levels and fruit with great colour and flavour.
